Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the activity, participants should be able to:
- Assess the patient with MRSA-related diabetic foot infection, including use of culturing techniques to guide antibiotic selection
- Compare and contrast the safety and efficacy of available antibiotics for the management of MRSA in the diabetic foot
- Implement evidence-based and patient-centered management of MRSA in the diabetic foot to improve outcomes
- Institute infection-control measures in the practice setting
